New Fitness Regime Can Help Me Win Again
Posted: 23rd January 2012
When I reflect on my 2011 season I suppose I would say it was a bit of an up and down year.
I started well in Australia then followed that up with the best week of my season in Turkey, finishing second.
Another few good weeks followed, before I started struggling with my swing.
Unfortunately this led me to missing the cuts at the Evian Masters and The Open, the two biggest events of the year.
Luckily I found my swing for the last few events and had some great results to finish the season on a high. I came tied 13th in China, tied 12th in India and then tied ninth in Dubai. It left me as the second highest English player in... MORE »
Return to Rotterdam
Posted: 1st June 2011
It’s been a busy month for me having played four tournaments on the bounce and this week I am looking forward to defending my title in Rotterdam. My run of tournaments started in Turkey where I played the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open. I was one shot behind with one round to play in Turkey so I gave myself a good chance of winning which is a position I want to get into more and more. Unfortunately I didn’t play my best on the last day and a double bogey on the 17th ended my chance of winning. However Becky Brewerton double bogeyed the last hole so I finished in a tie for second place which I was really pleased with,... MORE »
From player to caddie!
Posted: 13th April 2011
I returned from Morocco on Monday as I caddied for my brother Ben in an EPD Tour event which was played at the Soleil Golf Course in Agadir, coincidentally the same one that I had played the week before. Ben finished 24th in the end and I enjoyed it. It was nice to get some time to relax by the pool as well.
Two weeks ago I played in the Lalla Meryem Cup. This was the first time that the Ladies European Tour and The European Tour both had tournaments on in the same place so there was quite a buzz about the place. I’d had 5 weeks off before playing Morocco so it was good to be playing again.... MORE »
Reflections on the start of the season
Posted: 28th February 2011
Hi all, sorry for the lack of blogs recently but I wanted to do a complete one after my first 3 tournaments in Australia and New Zealand. After three weeks of hard work practising in Dubai, I headed out to Australia. I really love it out in Dubai as I have family over there and I was lucky to have family who came out to visit me so I wasn’t on my own the whole time.
I made the cut in the ISPS HANDA Women’s Australian Open but unfortunately failed to make a move at the weekend. My golf wasn’t great all week and I struggled with my putting. Generally, I felt a little bit rusty! The last day it was... MORE »
Happy New Year!
Posted: 4th January 2011
Hi everyone, Happy New Year! Hope you all enjoyed the Christmas break.
I can now reflect properly on last season after having a few weeks off. It was wonderful finishing the season with a 4th place in Dubai. My whole family was out there as well as a couple of friends, which made it even more special. Having spent a couple of weeks previously in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, I was able to get in some quality practice and it paid off. It was nice to have a few extra days’ holiday in Dubai before I returned home to snowy Hamburg.
I spent Christmas at home with fifteen family members so it was a busy time but it was lovely all being together. I celebrated the New Year in... MORE »
